A perverse and terrifying confrontation soon begins between the two adversaries…
Predator, film by Patrick Ison and directed by Dan Trachtenberg.
Back to basics
Predator is back in shape. There is no need to extend the suspension: Predator Undoubtedly the best film since the original franchise. Something to please horror and science fiction fans.
Behind the camera we will find a talented director, Dan Trachtenberg – Known, by the way, for this 10 Cloverfield Lane. Always in the shadow of monsters, the filmmaker delivers a simple, humble, yet terrifyingly effective feature film.
For this new plot, a creature from outer space arrives in the early 18th century. He meets other warriors – humans this time – the Comanches, a Native American tribe. Predator highlights these Native American people and makes them the heroes of his story. So rare in the sci-fi genre, this performance is welcome.
For the first time in science fiction cinema, Native American people become a central element of the story.
Viewers follow Natu, a young woman who, against the advice of her husband and mother, develops her skills as a hunter. She is played by Amber Midthunder, a true revelation.
Instead of rushing headlong into action, Predator Takes time and cares to build tension. The predator makes stealthy appearances here and there before fully revealing itself at the end of the second act. It is enough for society to expect and desire better. The same goes for violence and fighting.

The Predator is played by Dani DiLiegro, a former 2.06m athlete.
If the film is rather timid in the first part, severed heads and bloodshed abound as the monster reveals the extent of its strength. The feature also manages to reinvent the look of the beast, which becomes a bit scarier. He’s played by Dani DiLiegro, who is none other than a former professional basketball player – check out our interview above.
Quite classic, but with a solid realization, Predator He showed great generosity. The film proves the know-how of its director, Dan Trachtenberg, who we wish we could find more often behind the camera.
Predator Available on Disney+.
