See when Adson will play again for Vasco

Vasco faced an unexpected setback on Monday (7 July) after confirming a new injury by the striker Adson. The player fractured his right tibia during an activity in CT Moachr Barbosa, returning to the cast of the cast after a short return to the meadows.

Previously, the club had zeroed his medical department for the first time in a year and a half. This period had been marked by serious injuries to athletes such as Jair, Paulinho, Estrella and Adson himself, who had already undergone a stress fracture in the same region of the right leg in August last year.

He had only returned at the end of March and had played 16 games this season, all leaving the Reserve Bank, without registering direct participation in the goals.

The new injury, according to the medical coordinator Gustavo Caldeira, is different from the previous one. “In today’s training, due to a divided, he made a direct trauma in a region in which he already had a bone callus, promoted by the consolidation of the previous fracture. With the blow, his right leg made a lever mechanism that culminated in a direct fracture in the tibia”, explained the doctor.

He added that the treatment involves a new surgical procedure and that the club has given priority to humanized care, sending a multidisciplinary team to accompany the athlete to the initial exams.

According to the press survey, the estimated recovery time for this type of fracture is between three and six months, which can remove the player for a maximum of 120 days.

Adson’s injury interrupts a moment of relief to the club, who had put an end to the sequence of serious injuries to the recent returns of Estrella and David to training. However, Vasco follows one of the lowest rates of Serie A accident since 2023, despite the episodes that have compromised the range of important owners in decisive times.
