ClouD – Cloud of revengenew feature film directed by KiyoshiKurosawa (Pulse), debut this Thursday, July 17, in theaters. Elected as one of the best films of the 2020s by Indiewirethe story was inspired by the true case of a group of vigilantes formed by the internet.
What is it about?
The movie follows yoshii (Masaki Suda), a young man who lives quiet days in Tokyo, where he works in a small factory and makes nozzles in a e-commerce. His life gradually changed when the young man decides to dedicate himself to the resale of cheap products at high prices under the pseudonym Ratel. As customers begin to feel injured by shopping, a feeling of revolt and revenge takes over them. The situation comes out of control when even those who were not directly harmed, like their former boss, unite to hunt it, under pressure from personal resentment.
About Kiyoshi Kurosawa
The Japanese director KIYOSHI KUROSAWA is known internationally as a “master of horror” for his work in productions as Pulse (2001), Healing (1997) and Creepy (2016). Kurosawa is not limited to the terror genre, and also directed award -winning dramas as Tokyo Sonata (2008), winner of the Jury Award at the UN Right Regard of the 61st Cannes Festival, and The woman of a spy (2020), which secured the best direction award at the 77th Venice Festival.
