Is this a good start for a David Leitch action film? The results are in line with forecasts, with $30 million according to Box-office Mojo’s first estimate. Like our colleagues Boxoffice ProIt’s better than the other films in this action-comedy register: “Compared to similar comedies, David Leitch’s opening is 46% higher than that of Baby Driver ($20.5 million in 2017) and 3% higher than that of Spy ($29 million in 2015).“, they point out.
Just one more news, outsider Easter Sunday, reaches the Top 10 this weekend: The film, due for release in France in August, is No. 8 with $5.2 million. Based on the stand-up star’s life experiences, the film directed by Joe Coy revolves around a Filipino-American family reunion to celebrate the Easter holiday.
Apart from this movie and hence Bullet Train, the rating is exactly the same as last Monday. Summer locomotives remain in good place: Boop, Torah 4, Minions 2 or Top Gun: Maverick.
