The German manufacturer Bosch Auts Parts will cut up to 1,100 jobs by 2029 and renovate in his factory in Rautlingen, Germany, while the rapid worsening of the car market is reducing sales, said an employee of high company on Tuesday.
Bosch will focus the system mainly in the production of semiconductors, since the production of electronic control units is no longer competitive, states a declaration.
“The market of European control units is strongly influenced by the price and fiercely contested by the new participants,” said Dirk Kress, executive vice -president of Bosch.
“The necessary work cuts are not easy for us, but they are urgently necessary to guarantee the future of the plant”.
Bosch takes about 10,000 people in Reutlingen.
The German and European car manufacturers are under pressure due to high costs and strong foreign competition, as well as a tariff war between the United States and its global commercial partners.
