Actress Kaley Cuoco already has a new comedy series in the works. After 12 seasons of “The Big Bang Theory” and two seasons of “The Flight Attendant”, the actress will star in the series “Based on a True Story”, produced by actor Jason Bateman (“Ozark”).
The attraction will tell a true story in which the lives of a real estate agent (possible role of Cook), a plumber and a former tennis star unexpectedly collide, revealing the American obsession with true crime and murder.
Created by Craig Rosenberg (writer of “The Boys”), “Based On a True Story” was developed for the Peacock streaming platform. According to Deadline, Cuoco has already signed a contract to star in two seasons of the new attraction.
Kaley Cuoco recently received her first Emmy nomination for Best Actress for the second season of “The Flight Attendant”. There is still no confirmation as to whether the HBO Max series will have a new season. However, the Cook contract allows her to return to “The Flight Attendant” if necessary.
The actress’s future projects also include the time travel comedy “Meet Cute” and the thriller “Role Play,” about secret marriages, both of which have yet to be released.
