What is the new movie about?
In the new feature, which hits theaters on August 14, Neeson gives life to the detective Frank Drebin Jr., son of Lieutenant Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen), original protagonist of the franchise. He gets involved in a series of confusion when summoned to lead the police squad that his father headed in the past.

In addition to Neeson and Andersonthe cast has Danny Huston (Yellowstone), Paul Walter Hauser (The case of Richard Jewell), Kevin Durand (Planet of the Apes: The Reign), between others.
About the original trilogy
The original trilogy was a milestone in the police comedies of the 1980s and 90s. The first movie, Run the police are coming! (The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!1988), presents the clumsy and hilarious detective Frank Drebin trying to prevent an attack on Queen Elizabeth II during a visit to the United States. With his scraped humor, visual jokes and absurd situations, the feature has become a critical and public success.
The success of the first movie led to sequences Run that the police are coming 2½: the mission continues (The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear1991), in which Frank investigates a plan involving nuclear energy, and Run that the police are coming 33⅓: the final insult (The Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult1994), which satirizes the Hollywood universe with a plot involving a film award.
All three films were directed by David Zuckerwith script Jim Abrahamsthe same creators of Squeeze the belts … The pilot disappeared!.
