Originally from Austria’s small village of Tali, Schwarzenegger speaks German, which is hidden in regional sounds. But manufacturers have taken another direction.

Indeed, its Austrian focus, typical of rural regions, is not consistent with the image we wanted to give a robot of the future. In Austria and Germany, some dialects are strictly depicted and can make a “provincial” or not too sophisticated impression in the ears of the general public. The notion that ultraviolet cyborgs from the future were expressed as a resident of a small village, therefore, considered inappropriate.

It was the last of Thomas Dannberg, the famous German Dubler, who voted for Schwarzenegger Terminator. He not only interpreted the T-800 with gravity and authority, but also became Arnold’s regular German voice in many other cult films such as predator, Total Remall or True Lies. Thus, Denberg has accompanied the actor’s career for decades, in 2015 with Terminator Genisys.

Thus, a twist for those who performed one of the most iconic characters in the cinema: he would never have the opportunity to hear his character, who spoke on the screen in his original language, with his own voice.
