Three swimmers were killed by explosive objects in the Odessa region in southern Ukraine, in two beaches where swimming was prohibited, regional officials on Sunday said.
The governor of the region, Oleh Kiper, said that a man was killed in Karolino-Bhaz and another man and a woman were killed in nearby Zatoka, both on the coast of the regional capital.
“They were all victims of explosive objects while swimming in prohibited recreational areas,” he said in a note.
“This shows once again that being in unchanged waters is fatally dangerous !!!”
The Black Sea region has long been a popular summer destination, but the authorities have asked for caution from the great invasion of Russia who left Minas Gerais around his coast.
Kiper said 32 areas were considered safe to swim and 30 of them are in the city of Odesa.
