At Evanouis de Zach Cregger, seventeen children of the same class disappear in the middle of the night, at 2:17 in the morning. The whole city is shocking, and all the eyes will return to their fate, Justin (Julia Garner). The rest of the viewers are investigating an investigation that will reveal a very terrible truth.

17 Behind the disappearance of a child, guilty: Gladis, the old aunt of young Alex Lily, the only student in the class who did not disappear. The character, who is brilliantly interpreted by Amy Madigan, is represented as a sick and homeless woman hosted by the parents of a young boy.
Viewers find that there is no antagonist except a magician who, through bushes, can control others’ body and thoughts. Gladis especially used gifts to transform them into a powerful weapon, which he turns to the goals to avoid them – which explains the original title of the film, weapon.
So I have deleted many items about Gladis as his past, and I think it’s better.
The film also implies that it absorbs the souls of people, and in particular children, treatment of their health. The origin of Gladis has never been investigated, which was the director’s will:
“In the beginning, in my first scenario on the plane, Gladis had itself, and I realized that the less we knew about it, the better. It was more interesting to design our own history about it. So I delete lots of items as it is in his past, and I think it’s better. The stronger you are wondering where it comes from and what does it do. “
In the final confrontation, young Alex Lily was able to capture Glad’s tools to return to her witchcraft: the children are sent to kill her. The old woman shredded her former victim in the street.
Did the children really survive?
When Josh Brolin’s character, one of the anxious parents, finds his son, his son still has a strange behavior. Voiceover informs us that students found their home and gradually began to talk. Still, are they still fate?

As for the importance of the film, Zack Crager argues that Evanuis has no social and political message, he still admits that his history can be considered as a metaphor for the current situation:
“I have the impression that today, especially what is happening online on the Internet, everything can be used as a weapon. Others can be used in a completely incredible way 10 years ago.“
Will Gladis return to the cinema once? A small chance of finishing the movie. As the director says, it is best to imagine his story.
