“Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” co-creator Vince Gilligan has expressed his opinion on expanding this universe further with the creation of new spin-offs.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Gilligan was asked about the future of the “Breaking Bad” universe, with the final episode of “Better Call Saul” about to be released. “I can definitely imagine revisiting it. Selfishly, I would like to revisit, to continue like this, “explained Gilligan.
But the answer didn’t stop there. “But without naming names, I look at some of the worlds, universes, stories that I love, both on TV and in movies. And I think there’s a certain point, and it’s hard to pin down, where you’ve done a lot in the same universe. Just forget it”.
The creator of the series also continued, casting more doubts on the possibility of expanding the story of “Breaking Bad” with more spin-offs. “And some universes are much larger and more elastic. And maybe one day I will, especially if I fail in everything that comes next.
