Entergy reported on Wednesday that his unit in Louisiana received state legislation approval to advance with investments in infrastructures linked to the new global data center of the lens in the parish of Richland.

The approval by the Commission for Public Services of the Louisiana allows the Entergy Unit to build three combined generation systems of combustion turbines of the cycle in the parish of Richland, two scheduled to enter into operation in 2028.

The third installation will be built on the existing structures of the Louisiana Entergy in Waterford in the parish of St. Charles and should operate at the end of 2029.

The company has added that it will build several new transmission structures for the objective data center in the operating areas.

As part of the approval, the Commission also authorized Louisian Entergy to acquire up to 1,500 megawatts of sun resources through an accelerated certification process.
