Actress Carla Diaz posted on Instagram Wednesday evening (8/10) an unedited photo featuring Suzane von Richtofen. “So, would she be a #tbt or not?” She wrote next to the image, casting doubts among followers as to whether it would be an archival record or a return to character.
The truth is, “The Girl Who Killed Her Parents” and “The Boy Who Killed My Parents” will generate a third film. Both films were hugely successful on Amazon Prime Video and will continue.
Last month, actress Gabi Lopes, who played Cristian Cravinhos’ girlfriend Carol, confirmed that the entire cast had been hired for production.
“There will be Suzane’s third film. It will be a unique and stronger film. It will show a part that the first ones did not show and it will mix versions [de Suzane e Daniel]. It has a new name, a new concept. We, the cast, have all been summed up, all the same. There are new people, more, it will be a ‘breath’. It’s going to be pretty cool, ”the actress told Poddelas podcast.
The new function will show what happened in the four years between the crime and the trial.
But there is no shortage of subjects for a fourth film too, given Suzane’s entire career after prison: from involvement with another inmate, at the beginning of a relationship with a businessman during prison visits, to the advancement of the regime, breaches of confidence in temporary prison departures, at the start of college while in prison, etc.
Directed by Maurício Eça, the two productions distributed by Amazon Prime Video starred Carla Diaz as Suzane von Richtofen and Leonardo Bittencourt as Daniel Cravinhos. The films tell how the couple got involved and planned the death of their parents in 2002, with the help of the boy’s brother, Cristian (Allan Souza Lima).
Written by Ilana Casoy and Raphael Montes (from “Good Morning, Veronica”), the script was based on the testimony of the defendants during the 2006 trial. Each of the films carried the point of view of one of the inmates.
Also in the cast were Augusto Madeira and Debora Duboc, as Cravinhos’ parents, Leonardo Medeiros and Vera Zimmermann, as Richtofen, and Kauan Ceglio, as Suzane’s brother, Andreas.
