Running on Thursday, April 7, at 20:55 at Arte, the second season of En Thérapie, the French adaptation of the Israeli TV series BeTipul created by Haggai Levy, eagerly awaited the success of the first, which broke audience records. The channel when it airs in February 2021.
Nearly a year later, a duo created by Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache (Untouchables, Horse Norms) took the reins of the series, surrounded by a new team of screenwriters and directors, as well as almost entirely renewed actors, in addition to the essential Frederick Piero therapist Philippe.

“We told ourselves that there was a reason they were trying to re-explain what had affected so many people and therefore the firm. We see this firm as the voice of the community. We will see each patient tell us and tell us meaningless, behind their story or below how COVID disrupts their lives.
The creators therefore performed the five-year ellipse after Season 1, which occurred on the second day of the Paris attacks, on November 13, 2015. For Olivier Nakache, this season, beyond the aftermath of a health crisis, is primarily about ghosts. “We also begin with this ghost of the character of Chibane (Reda chickens) who went to Syria and died there, which fades away throughout the season and aggravates our character Diane with a sense of guilt.“
A season that was marked by the therapist regret but also by his memories. “It’s not necessarily a darker season, but there are other topics to be discussed and we will, first and foremost, see how Diane responds to her new patients’s new illnesses.. “
After the success of the first season, the two creators were first convinced that “Do not rely on yourself“In the face of pressure and expectations, let’s try to offer something more large-scale and different.
“We are full of doubts when we do this“, Emphasizes Eric Toledano.VSIt was a fascinating but intense work and full of limitations (…) But no matter what happens, even if this season is less successful, we are proud of it and that is probably the most important thing.“
Fear that will undoubtedly dissipate quickly given the audience points achieved for the second season, which will be posted online in full and free of charge on the Arte.tv site before its linear broadcast on the channel on March 31 this Thursday, April 7th. Indeed, the episodes have already garnered over 7 million views on the platform in one week and at the same time achieved the same performance as last season 1.
