X-Files: 30 years ago, these two mythological episodes changed everything for science fiction series

In 1995, X-Files fans discovered the 16 and 17 episodes of the Season 2 of the season because they did not know that they were going to change everything in the history of the series. Under the title of the colony, this decisive dotom formed the whole spine of the extrovert conspiracy.

A foreign conspiracy

So far, the series has given some information to the government’s conspiracy, sowing the seed of famous foreign colonization of the earth. From this double episode, the conspiracy becomes really significant and physically threatening, in particular, thanks to the introduction of the famous extroverted premium Hunter, which can change the appearance.

Thus, the story offers the first specific development of the mythological narrative arc that will continue in the following seasons. He also points to the turning over the relationship between Mulder and the scoll.

In the first episode, when he continues to investigate a series of mercilial killings related to human clones, Fox Mulder is amazed: his sister, Samantha, who has been missing for more than 20 years, is suddenly returning.

He explains that he was removed, a victim of prolonged amnesia and claims to have recently restored memory. Then the family union was confusing. Samantha Mulder reveals a disturbing truth: The killer who controls it is an extrovert that can change the appearance.

A terrible tracking

Nicknamed Bonus Hunter, this ruthless creature is a mission to eliminate all clones involved in the secret program. After performing his task, he controls Mulder tirelessly. Meanwhile, Sculle returns to the laboratory, where he finds the last surviving clones 4, obviously human scientists. Knowing the danger, he is trying to shelter them.

But his efforts failed: Bonus Hunter puts them in a spin and coldly performs them until they disappear. Although Mulder considers sculpture, the tension increases high. It gets a phone call … also comes from Mulder. Ice suspicion ceases: Free metamorph, which of these two is a real agent? The end of the first episode!

The second episode will resume where the first was stopped. Although she thought she was safe, the sculle struck and removed those who thought she was Mulder. In fact, it is an extrovert bonus hunter who has received his appearance. The latter forces him to urge Mulder to negotiate: his life against Samantha.

But the latter, when this maneuver was expected, reveals important details: the only way to kill a hunter is to knock on his neck, his weak point. She also warns her that her blood, a green corrosive substance, is highly toxic to humans.

Main revelation

Samantha Mulder gives an important part of the conspiracy: the clones that were now persecuted were part of the extraordinary colonization project. However, their superiors have been convicted that their experience has compromised the genetic purity of their species and therefore ordered them to be eliminated. The exchange occurs on the deck, under high voltage.

Sniper placement is ready to eliminate the bonus hunter at a distance. The operation is short: during confusion, a bad boy and Samantha fell into the river. None of the two survivors. The next day the body of Samantha is drawn, but with acid green substances, which confirmed that it was just a clone.

Shortly afterwards, Mulder’s father gave him a clinic, where Samantha said he could get away. Mulder goes there and discovers his sister’s other clones, having the same experience as recently killed scientists.

But premium hunter resurfaces. He attacks Mulder, set fire to the clinic, and struck it. Clones are killed and all evidence is destroyed. The FBI agent was then rescued by firefighters. This scene, which lasts 5 minutes, is really crucial for the series; It reveals part of the truth and replaces Mulder forever.

For his part, Mr. X informs Mulder that Premium Hunter’s vessels crashed into the Beaufort Sea, Arctic. Without the score, Mulder goes alone on the mission, deciding to continue the truth to the end. When his teammate doubts his disappearance, he collapses with the government.

An astonishing result

Only after the brutal clash between Skinner and Mr. X, the latter demonstrates the destination of Mulder. In turn, the agent closes the nuclear submarine sent in search of UFO. He finds unique survival there … which he quickly defines as a disguised bonus hunter. The violent struggle begins, during which Mulder is subject to extrovert toxic blood.

Premium hunter delivers the last revelation before escaping the submarine: Samantha is still alive. Abandoned on the ice flash, Mulder is dead, but he was finally found. Thanks to a scully study, which has found that the extrovert virus does not survive at extreme temperatures, it is stored in intros.

After all, he instructs his teammate to make him even more motivated in the battle to seek him from the truth, especially in relation to his sister. He found a holy fire! As for the scale, he manages to leave his skepticism to finally believe in Mulder and his obsession with a foreign conspiracy, indicating the main reversal of the relationship between the two agents.

In short, the colony was just the beginning of a huge mythology that was going to become a legendary Series of the X-Files, not just police soap opera with monsters and aliens. For the first time, he received a much more dramatic dimension, mixing the elements of science fiction with well -dose and intellectually sown political ingredients.
