Spotify launch intelligent filters to increase your library

Spotify has announced a new function which allows you to filter the library for activities, moods or musical genres, facilitating the search for playlists, podcasts and even audiolivos. Filters can also be used to start sessions with the DJ platform.

The news began to be released for premium subscribers on mobile devices and tablets in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and South Africa and should reach all the markets selected in the coming weeks.

Spotify more and more “in hand” the user

On the other hand, the constant inclusion of resources has generated criticism: many users complain of an overload and confused interface, which now resembles multiple social networks such as Tiktok and YouTube, with videos, polls, comments and messages.

Despite the complaints, Spotify is still growing. In the last quarter, he recorded 696 million active users (increased by 11% compared to the previous year), 276 million paid subscribers, with a 12% increase.

Amazon Music releases weekly playlists with AI

From the point of view of the competition, Amazon Music has announced the launch of The Weekly Vibe on Monday, a function that creates personalized weekly playlists based on user hearing habits.

The news will be available for all customers in iOS and Android, regardless of the signature plan.

The proposal is to solve a common streaming problem: the tiredness of always listening to the same songs.

Every Monday, the instrument generates a new musical selection adapted to “humor” and the recent preferences of each user. The playlists obtain title, description and a specific theme or genre, such as hip-hop or pop.

Weekly Vibe expands the conductor’s tests, a beta playlist generator released last year, which allowed the user to create lists using humor or even emoji commands. Now the process is automatic, without the need for manual interaction.

The launch is seen as a direct response to the DJ with Spotify Ai, expanding Amazon’s bet on artificial intelligence resources to stand out in competition from the public in music streaming.
