Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Wednesday that a raid in Poland through Russian drones meant that Europe had to work to create a joint air defense and an “effective air shield”.
“We have to work on a joint aerial defense system and create an effective air shield on Europe,” said Zelenskiy on Telegram after talking to the Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, the NATO Secretary of NATO Mark Rutte and other European leaders by telephone.
“Ukraine has proposed it for a long time. There are concrete decisions in this regard. We must react together with all current challenges and be prepared for possible threats to all Europeans in the future.”
