The information was confirmed by the press officer and the executive director of the advertising company Rogers and Cowan Pmk Cindi Berger at the US newspaper The New York Times. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
Redford was an actor, director, producer and activist. It was known for the documents in the classics Butch Cassidy (1969) e All the men of the President (1976). In addition, he won two Oscars, one of them as best director in the film People like us (1980).

According to the declaration sent by Berger, Robert Redford died “in the Utah mountains – the place he loved, surrounded by those he loved”.
The cause of death was not disclosed and the family required privacy.
