The latest Impbituba champion is electrified by a return to Vila Beach after 15 years: “Pass the most surprising film”

Jadson André, 35, qualified for the next phase of the competition after being 2nd in his battery

The return of a WSL stage to Praia from Vila in Impbituba (SC) brings an additional emotional weight to the surfers Jadson André, 35 years old, champion of the latest edition of Championship Tour, the elite of international surfing, on Catarinense Orla, in 2010.

Jadson fell into the water on the morning of Thursday 18, the second day of the third phase of the Banco Do Brasil circuit of surf 2025. EarthThe surfers spoke of the feeling of competing again in Pico Santa Catarina.

“On the first day, before starting the event, I took a reaction ride to return to the bottom of the sea. When I sat, I watched on the beach and spent a movie, the most incredible, happier movie I ever lived in my career as a professional surfer,” he recalls.

In 2010, Jadson broke a fast of victories among the Brazilians in Praia da Vila, at the time dominated by names such as Kelly Slater and Mick Fanning. And it was precisely Slater, the greatest champion of this sport, that the Brazilian has secured the last trophy played in Impbituta to date.

“The return is surprising, obviously in a different context, today I am a family father, I have a one year and three months fall. I am happy to be able to go back, return the affection of the boys. Here, the affection of people is different,” he says.

Jadson qualified the next phase in a contested battery, with constant exchange of notes. He came out with second place among the 4 athletes and advanced together with Rickson Falcão, leaving behind the Argentine Muniz Santiago and the Brazilian Walley Guimarães.
