A young adhesive of Unicorn inspired Carlos Sainz to shine in the Azerbaijan GP classification.
In the end, all the Carlos Sainz needed was the unicorn adhesive of a small Williams fan and the pilot.
During a virtual dynamic organized by the team, the girl asked Sainz for help to baptize her luxurious unicorn and also suggested that the pilot uses the adhesive on her helmet. In response to the request, Sainz asked the fan to draw his unicorn, promising to incorporate him into his helmet.
In a video after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Max Verstappen joked with Sainz on the new mascot:
“Do you have a new mascot on the back of the helmet, Carlos?”
“It’s a unicorn,” said Sainz.
“Haha, you have to continue like this now,” said Verstappen laughing.
In the intense classification session in Baku, marked with six red flags due to collisions on the wet track, Sainz secured second place, with only 478 thousandths behind Verstappen, who won his 46th post in F1, sixth of the season and second consecutive.
The fan, following the classification by the notebook, celebrated euphoric: “This is my carlos, and this is my adhesive! With the power of the unicorn!”
Sainz, in turn, celebrated the result and recognized the “help” of the unicorn sparks:
“Second place in Baku. I am very happy to be in the front row. It was a crazy and difficult classification, but we got good laps. Special thanks to Sparkles, the unicorn. Without him, we would not be here. Let’s see if he is until the end of the year.”
