Lady Gaga will receive no less than $10 million for the role of Harley Quinn in the sequel to “Joker”. It is reported by Variety. According to the publication, the fee of actor Joaquin Phoenix, who will play the main villain in the sequel, will be twice as much – he will earn $ 20 million. The director of both parts, Todd Phillips, will receive the same amount. In total, the production of the second part, which was officially called “Joker 2: Madness for Two”, will cost Warner Bros. at 150 million dollars.
Recall that the preparations for the filming of the sequel became known in early June, and already in mid-July there was information that Lady Gaga was at an early stage of negotiations with the film company. All rumors were dispelled a week ago, when the singer personally confirmed her participation in the project on her social networks by posting a short teaser of the picture. Filming of the project will begin in December, and the screening is scheduled for October 4, 2024.
