Alessia Cara announced the cancellation of their shows in Brazil. The singer would perform in Rio de Janeiro (Vivo Rio) and São Paulo (Unimed Space), respectively on November 21 and 23.
The performances would be part of the new album tour Love & Hyperboleyour fourth studio work and the most personal in your career. Commitments in Argentina, Chile and Mexico will also cease to happen.
In a statement on social networks, Alessia claimed to feel “true frustration, sadness and disappointment” for the cancellation. The Canadian claimed problems with tour production. In Brazil, the presentations would be made by Time for fun (T4F).
In the statement, the Canadian stated that those responsible for the shows in our country and Argentina “lost confidence and gave up.” She declares to have offered alternatives for dates to remain scheduled, such as reducing production investments. However, it was not possible to maintain commitments.
“For the sake of transparency, I will say that the prosecutor of Argentina and Brazil shows simply lost confidence and gave up. We tried to talk, reduce production and do everything that was within our reach to find a solution, but in the end we did not reach an agreement and there was no choice but to cancel.”
In another stretch of the note, Cara promised to work to react the performances in the future. So far, T4F has not spoken out about the topic.
