Entitled Ecstasy, Launch Brand Romantic and Experimental Phase of the Singer, with Unpublished Feats

“When we heard, it looked like I was ecstatic.” This is how Mc Cabelinho defines the process of creating the new EP, ecstasy, launched on Thursday, 25. With six tracks, the project succeeds I’m not a saint, but I’m not a bad guy (2024) and marks another step of the artist’s creative versatility.

Rolling Stone Brasil changed an idea with the carioca rapper about the new work and his current career. The short project, with only six tracks, further deepens the singer’s sexy and romantic vein.

During the quick chat, only 15 minutes, Mc Cabelinhositting and white in his golden studio with a plethora of dolls on the shelves behind his back, shared with me was the development of the EP that, according to him, began in the final stretch of the release of his last studio album:

“Dude, Real I’m always creating music, it’s connected? There’s a song of this EP that would be on my last album [Sozinho]Since when I finished the album, I saw that it did not fit. Also had the bid of reggae [Rastafari]which was something I created like a year ago. So I said, ‘Wow, bro, there are several loves of love ways, I think I’m going to join a project.’ ”

With the theme and repertoire defined, it was easy to define the title. To Hairthe great theme of the project is the intensity, a love that it defines by the concept of “Love Bomb”: About a more intense love:

“That love that, like, wow! Until when you light the match it catches fire, but it erases very fast. So ecstasy is about it.”

The opening track, “Little Baby”, For example, it is a reference to the previous albums, Little Hair (2021) and Little Love (2022). In it, Cabelinho sings next to the sensation of the current rap, Duchessabout a couple whose chemistry is so intense that it awakens even the desire to generate a child.

Already the partnership with the American singer KAASH PAIGEin “Vibe”Provides one of the most sensual and curious moments of Ep. The duet sings about physical desire and emotional surrender, creating an intense and sensual atmosphere.

However, the connection between the artist from Rio de Janeiro and the star of R&B, known for his hits and for working with names like Don Toliver and Killer Mikeit came up totally unexpectedly.

“When I went to Saint-Tropez, France, I met the Damiana producer, who asked me if I knew her. And a few days later he told me that she wanted to do something to me. Then we started to exchange idea and the partnership flowed. ”

On the one hand Hair and Paige talk about delivery, the next track, “Alone”, In partnership with Paulistana Trizthere is a sharp flow that addresses the freedom of not clinging to each other, in the best “bitch” style of MC: “I give you pleasure, but tomorrow forgets me/ I can not be yours or anyone.”

And if so far the EP has shown his pissing side, talking about his intimacies and desires, the rest of the tracks balances the game. According to himself, on a scale where 0 is very pit and 10 is totally in love, the Hair of Ecstasy It’s in the middle ground. Despite the more “Love Bomb” songs, the persona still in love can be noticed in “I went”, The penultimate of the tracklist. With more spaced and calm beats, here Hair It is about a worn relationship, but it has not yet been overcome: “Behind the bucket I kicked one day, I went/ even knowing that we will not come back.”

And don’t stop there, just before, Ecstasy embraces topics such as spirituality and intimate and parental questions in the song “5th dimension”In this Trap ballad, faith gains room with the search for balance. In fact, it is this track that he is more eager to present during his shows. The reason?

“I really want to sing this at my show because she takes me to various places, is it connected? She talks more stops there, which is not just love, understand? Has a little spirituality, with bitching, with straight chats too, understand? So I really want the world to hear this,” he said.

The search for an art that “takes you to various places” is one of the most striking features of “5th dimension”, Range that Cabelinho points out as his favorite of the project. The inspiration for her, according to him, came directly from the cinema after watching Interstellar (2014).

Cinema, starts from its professional routine (with the recording of the series Fury to the Netflix), was also the catalyst for the track that inspired the project and also closes it, Rastafari. Cabelinho says that the idea of creating a reggae came after watching the biography Bob Marley: One Love (2024).

The song, which ends EP ecstasy, is, above all, a tribute to its Maranhão family, land of reggae in Brazil:

“I found that in Brazil, Maranhão is the place of reggae, is it connected? My family by father is from there. I went to the sheets, recorded a clip and said, ‘Ah, bro, that’s what I’m going to release.”

The track arrived as a single and mixes romance and reflection, with verses that talk about love and about having to put the ego and money aside to give way to faith and remember that the storms of life pass.

Ecstasy It is now available

Of the sensual trap of Little Baby with Duchess to experiment with a new genre in Rastafari, Ecstasy It is a job that Hair defines how the reflection of your life:

“What I lived, I understood? Our life is like this, really, everything is mixed.

In a moment of intense creative activity, Mc Cabelinho It proves that the secret of its funk rise to the top of music and TV is to remain true to its truth. “I’m happy there from the crowd embracing my work more and more,” concluded the artist, who hopes the EP fulfills his main goal: to take the audience to the same feeling that baptized him.
