Attention! The following contains spoilers for the Older brother Live broadcast of season 24 starting Sunday 14 August. Read at your own risk!
Older brother 24 honestly looks scripted at this point, with all the wild events taking place. After spending the first half of the game at the back of the house, Taylor Hale is finally the breadwinner and, big as he is, he struggled to clearly define his goals this week. Taylor initially targeted Indy Santos and Terrance Higgins for her deportation but, with other plans in the works, she looks like she’d love to get a chance to cheat Houseguest.
Taylor would need the veto to be used for this to happen, so it would be to her advantage to have someone ready to use it this week. Gossipify follows the events of Older brother 24 using live streams (which can be streamed with a Paramount + subscription ) , and we know who won that veto. Also, we have some ideas of what might happen, if it is used, and who might see the ban if it happens. Let’s go into all of this and analyze what could be a really exciting week.
Kyle was granted the right of veto
Kyle Capner got his second win by veto (after winning week 4 ) and this is a big plus for your game. With Alyssa Snider as part of her showmanship and The Leftovers protect him, he is in a prime position to go far in the game. He will obviously try to keep the pressure on others like Michael who has a chance to break the all-time record by veto, but I’m sure people will watch Kyle too.
Will Kyle use the veto?
It’s not entirely clear at this point whether or not Kyle will use the veto, and that’s because plans during Taylor’s HOH changed quickly. Initially it looked like Terrance was the target. That was until Joseph Abdin came up with a plan to hide The Leftovers’ numbers. Joseph suggested that Taylor request the use of the veto and name Terrance as a pawn to hide what was going on.
It took a while to convince, but eventually Joseph and Taylor realized that wearing Terrance was a terrible idea. After all, season 24 featured an engaging trend targeting strong players like the recently sent off Ameerah Jones and one must imagine that Houseguest would be strongly tempted to take Joseph to Indy or Terrance.
After the plan to appoint Joseph as a replacement candidate failed, Taylor learned that Alyssa was making comments about her. She now she hopes that Kyle uses the veto so that he can introduce Alyssa and send her to the jury during her week. Michael has already informed Kyle that this could happen and it looks like the Leftovers will meet to make a group decision on the matter later. In the end, it might be a lot of drama for nothing, and we’ll see Indy or Terrance make it to the jury without too many incidents. However, the whole ordeal is still notable as it could mark the beginning of the end for The Leftovers.
Older brother aired on CBS (opens in a new tab) Sundays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET and Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET. Double eviction is approaching, so we’ll see how these stories potentially impact next Thursday.
