“Tuning” renewed for season 4

Netflix has renewed the Brazilian series “Tuning” for its fourth season. The announcement was made on Netflix’s Instagram profile.

“You asked for it and the fourth season of my most viewed Brazilian series is confirmed! Nobody goes to the idea today, family!”, Reads the caption of the announcement.

The renewal was already planned, given the success of the previous season. The third season of “Tuning” premiered on September 13 and spent two weeks in Netflix’s global Top 10 in the non-English language series category. In the opening week alone, the attraction secured its 3rd place in the world and 1st in Brazil.

“It is very significant to see that ‘Sintonia’ continues to excite and entertain the public even after three seasons. This success confirms the immense talent of the teams in front and behind the camera, which allows many Brazilians to see themselves on the screen” Haná Vaisman, director of content for Netflix Brazil drama series in a statement.

The series follows Nando (Christian Malheiros), Rita (Bruna Mascarenhas) and Doni (Jottapê), three friends who grew up together in the same favela, influenced by the fascination of funk, drug trafficking and the church. Each of them has transformed their experiences into very divergent paths, but never too distant from each other.

“Sintonia” is produced by Kondzilla, director of funk clips and owner of the most viewed YouTube channel in Brazil, and written by Guilherme Quintella (also screenwriter of “Insânia”).

Season 4 doesn’t have a premiere date yet.
