Netflix brings its video games to televisions for the first time, expanding its bet on the gaming sector as an essential part of its future.
Co-President Greg Peters announced the news during the conference Screentime from Bloombergin Los Angeles, highlighting the focus on social games that bring friends and families together in front of the home screen.

Long-term strategy
According to Alain Tascan, head of the games division and former executive of Epic Games, Netflix wants to avoid the mistakes of other Hollywood studios by investing with a long-term vision.
The company now prioritizes four fronts: children’s titles, board games, popular franchises such as Grand Theft Auto and productions based on Netflix series, such as Stranger Things. “To entertain the world, we need to include gaming,” Tascan said.
