The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms was originally announced in 2023 and will be written and produced by George RR Martin and Ira Parker. The executive producers are Ryan Condal, Vince Gerardis, Owen Harris and Sarah Bradshaw.
The first season will follow the knight Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) and his young squire Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell) as they travel across Westeros. All this at a time when the Targaryen lineage still holds the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet disappeared.
The couple’s journey will lead to a competition in which they will meet several members of the Targaryen dynasty, including Prince Aerion Targaryen, Prince Baelor Targaryen, and Prince Maekar Targaryen.
The cast of the series also includes Finn Bennett (True Detective: Night Country), Bertie Carvel (The crown), Tanzyn Crawford (Beautiful little things), Daniel Ings (Sex education) and Sam Spruell (Small Axe: Mangrove).
