Reserved featured articles include those by Andre Bonzel Et j’aime a la fureur (Glittering ghosts of lost love), centered on a filmmaker who reflects on his life; Thierry Demeiser and Alban Teurlais All the children (recruitsa breakdance documentary about talented and ambitious boys from diverse backgrounds at a posh Paris high school; Francois Bousnel Seule La Terre est Eternelle (Earth is all that lasts.), which includes a tour of the American Northwest with the late writer Jim Harrison; and Annie Ernaux and David Ernaux super 8 years Where author Annie Erno turns family movies into narratives.
The French American Film Festival will also present three television documentaries, including Nathalie Masduro and Valerie Urrea. Alice Guy L’inconnue du 7eme art (Alice Guy, the first female director), a film about a narrative filmmaker who has made nearly 1,000 films since 1896.
Anisa Bonefond also went to Los Angeles nadia, a portrait of Nadia Nadeem, who fled her native Afghanistan and became a professional football player for Paris Saint-Germain while studying to be a surgeon; and Catherine Bernstein and Marine Bellumo Naissance d’un heroes noir au cinéma: Sweet Sweet Black (Sweet Noir Movie: The Birth of a Black Hero), directed by Melvin Van Peebles.
“Exemplary women, minorities fighting for creativity and recognition of their work, the intimate relationship between a famous American writer and a famous French author who excels through sport or dance, cinema and the resilience of Ukrainian fighters, this selection of contemporary French writers Documentaries will be part of the 26th edition of the festival. For the 2022 edition, it raises the competition for the 2022 Best Documentary Award to a very high level.
