Zombie girl calamity

This anime combines supernatural action and horror with a touch of mystery. During the summer, a group of students breaks into the library warehouse and finds two Italian mummies.
When the “stone of life” is removed from one of them, the creatures awaken seeking revenge. Led by Sayaka, the zombies begin to brutally hunt down the invaders. The plot follows the young people’s desperate struggle to survive.
Hitori No Shita: The Outcast

While not an anime focused exclusively on zombies, “Hitori No Shita: The Outcast” explores the theme through supernatural powers and magically controlled undead.
The protagonist, Cho Soran, lives a common routine until he witnesses an incident in a village, where he is attacked by zombies in a cemetery. On the verge of dying, he is saved by a mysterious girl armed with a sword.
From then on, he finds himself embroiled in a conspiracy of necromancy, family secrets and martial arts, combining intense action and mystery in equal measure.
Zombie Land Saga

One of the most creative series of its kind, “Zombie Land Saga” transforms horror into a high-energy musical comedy.
The plot follows Sakura Minamoto, a student run over in 2008 who, ten years later, is reborn along with six other legendary girls from different eras. Under the leadership of the eccentric Kotaro Tatsumi, they form the idol group Franchouchou.
Anime is a creative mix of comedy and criticism of the entertainment industry.
Onimusha

Inspired by the classic Capcom game, Onimusha combines samurai, action and the undead in an intense and visually stunning journey.
The plot follows the legendary warrior Musashi Miyamoto as he faces demonic creatures in a feudal Japan overrun by darkness.
The animation is directed by Takashi Miike, a director known for horror and action works such as “Audition” and “Ichi the Killer.”
High School of the Dead

One of the most iconic zombie anime of all time, “Highschool of the Dead” combines action, suspense and a good dose of fan service in a Japan ravaged by a pandemic that turns humans into the living dead.
The story follows a group of students and a nurse as they fight to survive in the chaos, dealing with both zombies and humanity’s moral and social collapse.
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress
The story is set in a steampunk Japan ravaged by creatures known as Kabane, humans infected with a virus that transforms them into undead with iron-clad hearts. To survive, men live in fortresses connected by armored steam locomotives, the only ones capable of crossing territories dominated by monsters.
When one of these fortresses is invaded, the young engineer Ikoma decides to act and creates a weapon capable of piercing the hearts of the Kabane. However, during the attack, he becomes infected and transforms into a human-zombie hybrid: a Kabaneri. Determined to fight, Ikoma teams up with other survivors to face the threat.
The anime features animations from the Wit studio, the same as “Attack on Titan”, with which it shares several thematic and narrative points. For anyone who is a fan of Titan history, this is a great choice.
Ajin: demihuman

After a near-fatal car accident, Nagai Kei discovers that he is an Ajin, an immortal being with extreme regenerative abilities. Unlike traditional zombies, Ajin challenge the boundaries between life and death, arousing fear and hostility.
Considered dangerous, many are captured and used as guinea pigs by the government. Kei tries to stay away from the conflict, but ends up facing Satou, a rebellious Ajin bent on revenge.
The anime is a supernatural action thriller and has attracted attention for its use of CGI animation to create the dark atmosphere of the plot.
Sarazanmai

After accidentally breaking a Kappa statue, friends Kazuki, Toi and Enta are transformed into Kappa by Keppi, the prince of the Kappa Kingdom. To become human again, they will have to face the zombies created by the Otter Empire, an organization that manipulates human desires.
To defeat their enemies, the three will have to unite their souls and shout “Sarazanmai”, a power that reveals deep secrets and lays bare their most intimate truths.
Created by Kunihiko Ikuhara (director of “Revolutionary Girl Utena” and “Mawaru Penguindrum”), the anime combines surrealism, emotion and beautiful animation.
