Heleninha (Paolla Oliveira) finally asked the DJ to play a “hot mambo” in the Monday 13th episode of Everything is finetaking up the scene with which it was immortalized Renata Sorrah in the original version of the plot, from 1988.

The moment happens when the artist starts drinking again and ends up getting drunk. Releases a new statement to delegate Mauro (Claudio Jaborandy) after confessing to Celina (Malù Galli) who had hidden the fact that he had found the gun on the floor of Odete’s room (Deborah Bloch). Desolate and confused, she starts drinking and ends up going to a party completely changed.

The one chasing her is Renato (João Vicente), who finds his girlfriend drunk and asks her to dance. It is at this moment that he asks to “play a hot mambo”.

Originally, in the 1988 soap opera, the “mambo caliente” binge is Heleninha’s last, after which she manages to stop drinking for good. For now we still don’t know if the same will happen in the new version.

On social media, reactions to the scene were divided. While some approved of the moment, others considered it an exaggeration, given that Heleninha had already mentioned the mambo on other occasions. Even so, Paolla Oliveira’s performance was approved and praised.

The actress herself made a comparison between the two versions of the scene. He shared a video of both of them, side by side, and revealed that the proposal was conceived as a tribute to Renata Sorrah:

“This scene came to me with the request that it be a tribute. That this original scene be remembered, where, between the mambo and the cambrés, it marked an era and surpassed generations. I am incredibly happy to be able to pay homage to the immense Renata Sorrah. It was a mix of challenge and butterflies in the stomach, because life is made up of these moments. Put on a mambo and let’s follow this final stretch of Everything is fine.”
