Samuel’s journey so far
Samuel Rosa was the lead singer of Skank for more than three decades: the band was formed in 1991 and ended its activities in 2023. The singer began his solo career with the album Pinkelected by Rolling Stone Brazil as the 8th best national album of 2024, and went on tour in August of the same year.
“Rosa Sessions” appeared a year after the release of Pink as a collaborative project. The idea was to recreate the album’s ten original songs in acoustic sessions – and, in three of them, special guests will join Samuel in the studio.
“’Rosa Sessions‘ is a project that was born from the harmony present with the band. During rehearsals for the PINKall songs and passages sounded natural and cohesive. The idea of transforming this experience into a project that reflected this dynamic also in image came up,” he wrote. Samuel in a post on Instagram.

The first re-recording was “Don’t Have Pity“, with Your Jorgewhich arrived on digital platforms in August 2025. Now, the guest of the moment was Duda Beat: second Samuel“Everything Now” is one of the most radio-friendly songs on the album, and that was one of the reasons for choosing the artist.
Along with Duda Beat
Duda Beat is from Pernambuco, born in Recife in 1987. She moved to Rio de Janeiro at the age of 18 to go to college, but her passion for music got in her way. “Record with Dudley It’s an old dream, which had not yet come true just because of the schedule”, he recalls. Samuel. “I think this track is more in her league, because it’s a song with lyrics that refer to flirting, to mischief. I liked her and I was very happy when she accepted the invitation”, he adds.
He comments that approaching a singer from another generation and region was a very healthy and productive experience. “We have different musical biases and dialoguing with artists who are not from the same segment is very important to me. Furthermore, I have great admiration for her, for the singer and songwriter that she is.”
Dudley also told the press that it was a pleasure and a joy to sing with Samuel Rosa. “I’m a big fan and being with him on this project, on this new step of the solo album and re-recording this song, which is so beautiful, was wonderful for me”, he celebrates. “It was a dream come true, because Samuel He was an artist who always supported me a lot. If he wants to invite me to more things, I will always be with him.”
She adds that recording at Sonastério was an excellent opportunity to bring together the entire project team. “It was a very nice day at Sonasterywhich is an incredible, wonderful and inspiring place.”
