Apple TV (formerly Apple TV+) will now make all Major League Soccer (MLS) playoff games available as part of the basic subscription in the United States, according to information from Journal of Sports Economics.
As a result, fans will no longer need the MLS Season Pass, which currently costs $99 per season. The playoff program begins next Wednesday (22nd).

Differences between MLS and F1
While F1 has 24 race weekends a year, MLS shows dozens of games weekly, justifying the larger amount of content in the Season Pass. Apple pays $250 million a year for MLS rights worldwide and about $150 million a year for F1 in the United States.
Apple has not yet finalized the fate of the MLS Season Pass, normally announced between February and March. The final decision on the continuity of the package should take place in the coming months, but the trend points to a simplification of the live sports offering on the platform.
