The Ibovespa advanced for the fifth consecutive session on Tuesday, renewing its closing high, with Vale among the main supports, as well as MBRF, still supported by a deal involving the Saudi sovereign wealth fund.
The reference index of the Brazilian stock exchange, Ibovespa, rose by 0.35%, to 147,476.22 points, according to preliminary data, closing above 147,000 for the first time and exceeding the closing record recorded the day before, of 146,969.10.
At the best moment of the day, the Ibovespa reached 147,810.55 points, without managing to exceed the intraday high also recorded on Monday, of 147,976.99 points. At a minimum it recorded 146,574.67 points. The financial volume in the trading session amounted to R$18.4 billion before final adjustments.
