Netflix releases a surprise new episode of Sandman!

We told you about it yesterday: Sandman has been dominating Netflix’s top series since its 10-episode first season premiered earlier this month. Lord of Dreams is now back with a special surprise episode, adapting two stand-alone stories from Neil Gaiman’s graphic novels. sand man.

Today’s episode includes an animated adaptation of the story “A Thousand Cat Dreams” and a second live-action version of “Calliope.” The former is directed by Hisco Hulsing, known for his work on the very beautiful Prime Video series Undone.

Louise Hooper directs Calliope in collaboration with production designer Gary Steele. Hooper previously directed the first season finale, “Lost Hearts,” as well as two episodes of Netflix’s The Witcher. The script for the episode was written by Catherine Smith-McMullen.
