The page turns to Un si grand soleil!
Arriving in the series on May 2, 2022, Sylvain Bocara, the interpreter of Louis, will say goodbye to the Montpellier series in this Friday, October 31, 2025 episode broadcast on France 3.
Over the years, Louis became an important character in Un si grand soleil. And if the audience liked to follow his adventures, they often talked about his love stories about the young man.
After Kira (Colin Ramos-Pinto), Flore (Emmanuel Bouaziz) and Lauryn (Lea Gillard), he is now living a beautiful relationship with Ty (Lila Guiraud). But the latter’s departure to Marseille forced him to reconsider his priorities.
Eager to give their story a real chance, Louis in turn chooses to leave Montpellier, marking the end of his story in the series.
In July of last year, Sylvain Bocara spoke to Allocine about the reasons for this departure.
Allocine: After losing his business, Louie now works on a farm. Why is this a radical professional change?
Sylvain Bocara : Louis was indeed marked by the loss of his business, but also by the end of his relationship with Lauryn. He needed a change and start a new project. That is why he ended up in the farm. This is a kind of escape for him. At first he tells himself that it will be temporary, but he soon learns.
On the heart side, Louie has just started a love affair with Ty…
He hits it and can’t believe it. She tells herself that it is very beautiful. Especially since Tais was transferred to Marseille. If she wants a long distance relationship, she can see that Thais doesn’t really want it. He tries to give up at first, but it’s hard. He wants their story to continue, so he finally chooses to go to BTS in the agri-food sector in Marseille to stay with her.
Were you surprised by Louis and Tyce’s romance, or did it make sense for them to get together in the end?
I was a little surprised. They didn’t always understand each other with Kira and they avoided each other a little. With Thai, it’s completely different. They are already friends, associates and know each other well. The dynamics are completely different. Ultimately, it remains fairly consistent.
Louis will therefore leave Montpellier at the end of this arch. Is it a choice on your part?
This is a choice on my part. I am currently acting in a play and it will take me a lot of time.
Are you happy with Louie’s starting arch? Does it live up to your expectations for the character?
Frankly, I think it makes sense. It might go a little fast, but that’s what’s great about it. I adore it.
In the hours before you shoot the final scenes, what state of mind are you in?
I think we’ll get a little emotional, even if it’s hard for me to understand that this is the end.
Do you have any other projects outside of the TV series?
I am currently acting in a play in the theater the taste of happiness By Olivier Massey, with Tonya Kinzinger and Thierry Beccaro. In addition, I create music with the band Furtybia. We recently created our own label, Débrouillards. I am also going to shoot a documentary about Armenia.
