RIO – The unemployment rate in Brazil was 5.6% in the quarter ending in September, according to monthly data from the National Continuous Survey of Household Sample (Pnad Continua) published this Friday, 31, by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).

In the same period of 2024, the unemployment rate measured by Pnad Continua was 6.4%. In the moving quarter through August, the unemployment rate was 5.6%.

The average real worker income was R$3,507.00 in the quarter ending in September. The result represents an increase of 4.0% compared to the same quarter of 2024.
