Screenwriter Stephen P. Neary, creator of the animation “The Fungies!”, Criticized the decision by Warner Bros .. Discovery to remove your series from the HBO Max streaming service. “The Fungi” aired for a total of three seasons and 80 episodes. Produced by Cartoon Network Studios, the attraction was set in a prehistoric and mythological metropolis called Fungietown, a strange world inhabited by some mushroom-like creatures and even some dinosaurs. The series follows the adventures of Seth, one of the city’s young mushroom dwellers, whose love of science adventure has often gotten the locals into trouble.

In his publication, Neary talked about the work involved in making the production and abandoning HBO Max. “We worked hard during the pandemic and hoped that the effort would pay off with the support of the network. It was promised that the series would be aired on Cartoon Network, which would have generated views for HBO Max, but shortly after launch, the series was pulled out of the air without warning, “he said.
