So much has been said that “An Extraordinary Lawyer” sounded like a version of “The Good Doctor” with lawyers that there was nothing else. The producers of “The Good Doctor”, David Shore and Liz Friedman, are preparing a similar series.

Dubbed “The Good Lawyer,” the project will be introduced in an episode of the series starring Freddie Highmore, who will serve as the pilot. To differentiate himself from the lawyer with autism of the Netflix series, the protagonist of the spin-off will be a lawyer suffering from OCD. But like the extraordinary Woo, she has a very high IQ.

Joni is a brilliant 20-year-old lawyer battling OCD and continues to defend Dr. Shaun Murphy (Highmore) when he finds himself in legal trouble.

Relatively new to her luxury law firm, Joni has her personal and professional life profoundly influenced by OCD and is often ashamed of her symptoms. But despite her nearly being fired due to her bizarre behavior, she is a great lawyer, who uses her attention to detail, compulsive thinking and analytical skills as a superpower.

And it is precisely because of his quirks that Shaun declares that he wants Joni to represent him.

The spin-off will also highlight another female role: Janet, the studio partner looking to fire Joni.

Neither role has a defined interpreter.

It is worth mentioning that “The Good Doctor” is a remake of the 2013 South Korean attraction of the same name, while “A Lawyer Extraordinary” is the current South Korean phenomenon on Netflix, seen for about 300 million hours in streaming.
