Netflix has released the poster and trailer for “The Devil in Ohio”, a horror miniseries that features actress Emily Deschanel, star of “Bones” in its cast.
In the story, a psychiatrist (Deschanel) shelters a young woman (Madeleine Arthur, of “The Magicians”) who is on the run from a mysterious cult, without realizing that this could put her own family at risk.
“The Devil in Ohio” is an adaptation of Daria Polatin’s best-seller of the same name, who also serves as the production showrunner. The story is supposedly inspired by a true story.
The cast also includes Stacey Farber (“Virgin River”), Alisha Newton (“Heartland”), Sam Jaeger (“The Handsmaid’s Tale”), Tahmoh Penikett (“Battlestar Galactica”) and Keenan Tracey (“Day of the Dead”. ).
The first is scheduled for September 2nd.
