Actor Miles Teller (“Top Gun: Maverick”) is in final talks to star in “The Gorge”, which will be directed by Scott Derrickson (“The Black Phone”).
The script was written by Zach Dean (“War of Tomorrow”), but plot details are yet to be disclosed. The film is only described as a love story with a lot of action.
In addition to acting, Teller is also expected to produce the film, alongside Derrickson.
“The Gorge” (which literally translates to “the throat”) does not yet have a filming schedule or release date set.
This will be the first project Scott Derrickson will direct after the horror film “The Black Phone,” which grossed more than $ 150 million at the box office. He is also involved in the production of the horror “Room 428”.
Teller, meanwhile, achieved much greater success with “Top Gun: Maverick,” which already grossed more than $ 1.4 billion and became the highest-grossing film of the year. The actor was also seen this year in the series “The Offer” and in the Netflix blockbuster “Spiderhead”.
