The Paramount + platform has released the national trailer for the fifth season of “The Handmaid’s Tale”, which highlights the intensification of the rivalry between June (Elisabeth Moss) and Serena (Yvonne Strahovski) after the assassination of Commander Waterford (Joseph Fiennes) , and announces the first date of the new chapters in Brazil.
The preview explores the contrast between the fates of the two antagonists. As the widow takes advantage of the tragedy to gather followers across Canada, the former handmaid makes plans to return to Gilead as part of a guerilla war aimed at overthrowing the extremist government. But she also becomes a prime target of revenge from her enemies.
The fifth season will debut on September 18 in Brazil, exclusively on Paramount +.
