Britney Spears canceled her ultra-popular Instagram account late last week, leaving many fans wondering what her future plans on social media might be. Well, a few days and a few posts later, it became clear that we can probably expect the same from the pop star, only on Twitter instead of Instagram. After not posting a tweet for over seven months, Spears has given away five to fans, including a thread, since she left Instagram.
Among the posts that are getting the most attention is the one Spears left last night. It is a clip of about thirty seconds that shows the beloved singer taking off a very elegant white dress and revealing a red bikini under her. She then walks over to the camera while the music plays in the background. Also in the background at the beginning of the clip is a cat playing and obviously people can’t get enough of this little rascal. You can watch the video below …

Since the end of her highly publicized guardianship tenure, Britney Spears has used her social media extensively to interact with fans, talk about her feelings and come to terms with her past. She has also posted more than a few photos and videos showing her in various states of clothing, sometimes completely naked with her hands covering various parts of her body. These latest posts have drawn all sorts of backlash from fans and have recently been at the center of the problems Spears has had with her ex Kevin Federline and their children.
Earlier this month, Federline gave an interview in which he claimed, among other things, that his common children didn’t particularly like seeing their mother post nude photos on social media. She sparked a series of exchanges on Instagram, in which it was revealed that the children hadn’t seen their mother in months, or were even attending her recent wedding. Some posts during Federline and Spears’ skirmish were later deleted and she immediately closed her account completely.
It’s unclear if all of the above is why Spears officially left Instagram for Twitter, but rest assured, many of her fans followed her. Britney has more than 55 million subscribers to her service, and her posts have garnered more than their share of engagement. A separate photo posted on Friday got more than four hundred thousand likes and thousands more comments.
In addition to her social media posts, Spears returned to the studio to work on music. She recently released a collaboration with pop legend Elton John entitled “hold me closer. ” It has already reached number one on streaming charts in over 40 countries, and both are it should work on a video also to support the song.
