The first Game of Thrones spin-off to see the light of day, House of the Dragon is a prequel series that tells part of the Targaryen story. Set roughly 170 years before the events of the show’s phenomenon, we witness the beginning of the fall of House Targaryen and the playing out of the Wars of Succession to the Iron Throne.
The episodes of the series lead up to the famous civil war called “Dance of Dragons” involving, as the name suggests, dragons. A noble family of Valyrian descent lived in Dragonstone for decades, preparing for the conquest of the Seven Kingdoms by the dragon-riding Aegon the Conqueror.
We were promised more dragons in the dragon house – 17 in total! – So, here are the creatures that we saw and will definitely see in the spin-off.
