Netflix: The director of Drive is releasing his new series, and it’s already turning heads

Previewed at the Venice Film Festival, the Copenhagen Cowboy series opened for the first time. while sneaking in An intense one that pushes you. Conceived and directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, it follows the enigmatic young heroine Miu (Angela Bundalovich, seen in the Netflix series Rain).

After a life of slavery and a fresh start, he traverses the grim landscape of Copenhagen’s criminal underworld. In his quest for justice and revenge, he meets his nemesis, Raquel, with whom he begins an odyssey through the natural and the supernatural. The past transforms and shapes their future as the two women discover that they are not alone…there are many.

With big neon lights, techno music and hypnotic visuals, Copenhagen Cowboy is true to the style of the Danish director we owe to Drive and The Neon Demon. For his first collaboration with Netflix, Winding Refn returns to his first love, the city of his heart, with a dark, mysterious and slightly mystical (even satanic) series in 6 episodes, which will be restricted to children under 16 on the platform.

Netflix has yet to set a release date for Copenhagen Cowboy, but it won’t be long.
