In the third episode Dragon House, a great battle takes place on the Stone Steps between representatives of the Kingdom and the Triarchy, an alliance between the Free Cities of Lys, Mir, and Tiros. On one side is Lord Corley’s Velarion (Steve Toussaint) and Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) and on the other hand, Kraga Drahar aka Crab Giver (Daniel Scott Smith), one of the admirals of the Triarchy.

In addition to the bloody melee and sword fights, the appearance of the dragon at the end of the episode also got fans excited.
When a demon finds himself stranded on a beach with a sword in his hand, a dragon appears in the sky to burn everything in its path. The diversion created by the dragon allows Velaryon’s army to gain the upper hand and the demon to kill the Crabguzzler.
But what is this dragon? This is Fume-des-mer (or Seasmoke, in the original version). This gray and white dragon is a young creature when it engages in battle on the stone steps, but it is no less fearsome, spitting out holy fire when its owner casts a “Dracaris” (which means “fire dragon” in Valyrian).
And the rider riding the Seasmoke is none other than Prince Laenor Velarion (played by Theo Nate then by John McMillan as an adult in a dragon house). He is the son of Princess Rhaenys Targaryen (Eve Best) and Lord Corley Velarion de Lamarck. He was the heir of House Velarion and as a child was considered the heir of King Jaehare I Targaryen.
But his fate will be different and he will be connected with other heroes and other royal duties in the future. Her dragon would prove to be a valuable ally during the famous “Dance of the Dragons,” a devastating civil war that destroyed the Targaryen dynasty and hastened their downfall.
