Steven Spielberg: His Two Best Movies Rediscovered in IMAX Cinema

Universal is re-releasing Steven Spielberg’s classics “ET The Extra-Terrestrial” and “Jaws” in IMAX Sept. 7-20.

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the iconic film ET The Extra-Terrestrial, Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment will release the feature film in IMAX, as well as another Steven Spielberg classic that revolutionized genre cinema: The Teeth of the Sea (1975).

Two films will be shown from September 7 to 20 as part of the IMAX festival.

Released in December 1982, ET won 4 Oscars, including Best Score for John Williams and Best Special Effects for Carlo Rambaldi.

47 years after its release, the film is still a reference and, moreover, the creation of a cinematic genre: the shark movie.
