Benedict Cumberbatch and Jodie Comer will star in a post-apocalyptic thriller

Actor Benedict Cumberbatch (“Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness”) and actress Jodie Comer (“The Last Duel”) will star in and produce the post-apocalyptic thriller “The End We Start From”. Filming has already started in London and the first photo has been released. Look up.

Based on a book by Megan Hunter, the film will follow a woman who gives birth to her first child in the middle of flooded London. Days later, she is forced to leave her home in search of safety. She then sets off with the child on a journey through a dangerous country.

The cast also includes Mark Strong (“Shazam!”), Katherine Waterston (“Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets”), Joel Fry (“The Curse of the Forest”), Gina McKee (“Safety in Play”) and Nina Sosanya . (“Lives”).

The adaptation was written by Alice Birch (“Normal People”) and directed by Mahalia Belo (“The Long Song”).

“The End We Start From” doesn’t have a release date yet.

Benedict Cumberbatch will soon be seen in “The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar”, a new film from director Wes Anderson (“The French Chronicle”), without a fixed release date, while Jodie Comer has ahead of her the biker film “The Bikeriders “, by Jeff Nichols (” Loving: A Love Story “).
