The Rolling Stones also responded via Twitter and expressed “Their deepest sympathies to the Royal Family on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who has been a constant in their lives, as it has been in countless others.”
Singer Mick Jagger added a more personal message to his account. “All my life, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has always been there. As a child I remember her wedding highlights on TV. I remember her as a beautiful young woman, the nation’s beloved grandmother. My deepest condolences to the Royal Family.”
Even the beloved Paddington Bear is in mourning after having a cup of tea with him last June at the Platinum Jubilee, which marked the 70th anniversary of his reign. “Thanks for everything ma’am”…
