Avatar: the sequel has not been released, James Cameron is already making his fourth film!

James Cameron has delusions of grandeur. His films, but also his working methods, are a proof of this. Thirteen years after the release of Avatar, the director is putting the finishing touches on his long-awaited sequel, Avatar: The Way of the Water. While the D23 exhibition – which reveals the many projects of the Disney studios – was in full swing, the director made a surprising announcement: he has just started filming the fourth opus.

This information confirms that the second and third films were shot at the same time. It should be said that Avatar 3, originally titled Avatar: The Seed Bearer, has already been announced for December 18, 2024. The 4th, Avatar: The Tulkun Rider, will have to wait two more years in December. 16, 2026.

Currently at the scene of the shooting in New Zealand, James Cameron spoke to the public on camera. The team members, in turn, were very relevant, such as Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, producer John Landau or even Sigourney Weaver.
