Italian heartthrob Michele Morrone, known for starring in Netflix’s “365 Days” trilogy, is in a Brazilian film. He is part of the cast of “Duetto”, alongside Marieta Severo, Luisa Arraes, Gabriel Leone, Maeve Jinkings and Rodrigo Lombardi. Check out the poster and trailer below.
The feature film takes place in Italy, in 1965, and Michele gives birth to a famous and controversial Italian singer, Marcello Bianchini, who ends up meeting Cora (Luisa Arraes), a Brazilian teenager who travels to Italy with her grandmother (Severo) , after tragically losing his father.
“Duetto” had scenes recorded in Brazil and Italy. For the production, Luisa Arraes, Gabriel Leone and Maeve Jinkings needed to take Italian lessons. Marieta fired her, having lived in Italy during the exile of her and her ex-husband, singer Chico Buarque, in the late 1960s.
Directed by Vicente Amorim (“A Princesa da Yakusa”, “Santo”), the film will be released in theaters on September 29th.
